What is Customer Access?
Customer Access lets you view details about the insurance and investments you own, update some of your personal information (e.g., address, email address and phone number) online, tell us your contact preferences, and use the Secure message centre to communicate with us at Sun Life Financial. Using the Secure message centre makes sure that your discussions with us are kept strictly confidential because it doesn't use Internet email. Only you can view your secure messages when you sign in to Customer Access.

Who is eligible to register for Customer Access?
If you have a valid in-force policy or account with Sun Life Financial, you're eligible to register for Customer Access.

If you are the trustee of a plan, you must register for a separate access ID and password to access a policy or account for which you are a trustee. This means you'll have 2 different access IDs and passwords if you also have another individual account or policy.

What can I see on Customer Access?
Once you sign in to Customer Access, your personal insurance plans and investment accounts will be displayed with the exception of Personal Health Insurance and Health Coverage Choice. You can also see your personal contact information.

Additional details are available for the following personal insurance and investment plans.

  • Permanent and term insurance (except SunTerm and Sun Life Financial permanent and term insurance policies issued before September 2003)
  • Universal life insurance
  • Critical illness insurance

  • Most accumulation annuities
  • Guaranteed investment certificates (GICs)
  • Mutual fund and segregated fund accounts - your contract number appears as a link to account details. For accounts managed by Sun Life Global Investments or CI Investments, you will link to the secure website of these companies. For Sun Life Guaranteed Investment Funds, you’ll see contract details in a separate window.
  • SunSpectrum registered retirement income funds (RRIFs)
  • SunSpectrum Interest Accounts (except locked-in accounts)
  • Portfolio Interest Accounts
  • Single certificate RRIFs
  • Portfolio RRIFs
  • Guaranteed interest annuities
  • Pruflex
  • Guaranteed accumulation annuity certificates
  • Accumet

Mutual fund statements effective December 31, 2011 are available online.
